OK. So you took the leap and started your online store. But, oops, there are no customers and your store is lost in the crowd. All is not lost. You just need to be very creative in how you market your site. The key thing to remember as you market your site is “people buy from people, not companies.”

To make money online: 1) You must get traffic to your site. 2) You must convert that traffic to paying customers. To begin simply create a T-chart. Label one column “Traffic” and the other “Conversion.” Then brainstorm what methods you will use to to make those happen and turn them into an action plan.

Traffic suggestions for you:

* Pay per click
* Offline advertising
* Article marketing
* Newsletter
* Autoresponders
* Word of mouth
* Joint ventures / strategic partnerships
* Talks to groups
* Participation in online forums / discussion groups

Most online stores are extremely competitive (what’s not these days?) and they compete on price – one of the worst ways to compete. What you need to do is find a way to take the focus off the money, find your unique value and promote it from there.

So how do you do that? First you have to know who your prospect is so you can speak to them directly. Hint: Your market is not everyone or anyone. Once you know who your prospect is, you can implement tactics that will convert them into customers.

Here are some ideas that will help your conversion rate:

* Bundled products
* Free gift with purchase
* Regular newsletter
* Autoresponder course
* Helpful content on your website
* Companion blog for your website

These should get you thinking about where you need to go. This is not by any means a complete, comprehensive list — just a start. Begin by putting all of your ideas together in an action plan. Use your action plan to drive what you do every day. Spend at least one hour on these tasks per day. In no time you’ll find you’ve made a lot of progress.

Personal Injury Lawyer

The sixth amendment of our Constitution states “In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall…have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense.Some interesting facts about our judicial system. There were over 78% of felony defendants charged with a violent crime in the America’s largest counties and 63% in U.S. district courts had public defenders. About half of those with public defenders and three quarters with private lawyers were released from jail pending trial. Many people are in America are harmed due to negligence of others and do not have the knowledge to know where to start. It is important to have good representation in the event you are in need of a personal injury attorney whether you are at fault or not.

Whether you have been injured in a car accident or by a pharmaceutical product finding the right representation can be difficult. There are a lot of options and many claim to have the staff and resources to help you with your claim. Finding a personal injury attorney that will concentrate on your case with the main focus being personal injury is now at your fingertips. At Anattorneyforyou.com they provide you access to law firms across the country for free. They are not a law firm but allow the consumer to provide details of their case and then have the information submitted to various law firms for their response. This allow the consumer to then find the right law firm for their particular case. There are many factors that can lead to personal injury and neglect on the behalf of the company can be identified by your attorney. You will be able to find legal representation for personal injuries by simple typing in your zip code or you can see if there any large class action law suits that would pertain to you. Uma Gupta business consultant

There are many areas that businesses must focus on to stay competitive in the global market. Marketing and finance are two key drivers in any company but the people behind those results is what drives the success of the company. I had the opportunity to read an interesting article by Uma Gupta who is a expert in higher education helping businesses across the globe with such issues as regional economic initiatives, hiring across the organization and doing business in India. The piece that caught my attention was on diversity. In our organization we are striving to become more diverse without sacrificing business results. Uma Gupta brings out an interesting point that rings true that many managers sit through diversity lectures only to go back and say that this was not helpful and that they will hire the people that are the right fit for the job. The key is to define diversity as not only the gender, race, or ethnic background but also include in other attributes such as experience, knowledge, and talent. These are all traits of diversity that should be considered for any candidate and not just basing it solely on sex or race to fill a quota. Todays businesses are being asked to do more with less and having the right people in the right job is critical to staying competitive in this global landscape. Companies that can diversify based on the business and not to fill a human resources quota will be able to stay lean and agile as the market around them changes. As technology has made bringing people together for meetings and training much easier through advancements in webcasting workers must now possess the capability to work from remote areas in autonomy but still be able to contribute to the organization. And organizations must recognize this change in the workforce and be able to offer flexible benefits and work arrangements to attract the top talent.

Dr. Uma Gupta has written several books and writes for sites like cio.com for information technology systems. She is affiliated with many universities across the US and sits on boards to help businesses understand the culture of her native country India, and vice versa to help those in India to understand what it takes to do business with US based companies. She has also authored two major text books on information systems and technology and contributed to articles on the same subject. She is an expert in training, retention, and management issues and has been able to help organizations with corporations with hiring process and websites to understand any issues that could potentially stand in their way of recruiting top talent.

Tracking your kids

In an effort to monitor employees that travel in company owned vehicles more companies are turning to GPS tracking systems. While employees may feel they are being watched by big brother, I think it is a great way to reduce wasted time and track valuable assets that a company has on the road.

There a is a very nice demo available at Brick House Security which you can play with here.You can actually watch the dots moving on the map to give you a more realistic view of what is offered.With the system you can monitor a single vehicle or a fleet of trucks. You can monitor location, direction they are traveling, and even the speed at which they are traveling. You can set up alerts if a vehicle is traveling over a certain required speed. And they even have address alerts to let you know when a truck has arrived at a location.

They can even take this technology and make it available to deploy Teen Tracking.How nice would it would be to able to know where your kids are at all times. Most of the devices require that they be hard wired into the vehicle, which makes for better security, and less chance of the device being manipulted. I personally think this is great to have variable for kids, not to reduce the trust factor but build on it and to ultimately protect your children. I have always said that I am not as much concerned with what my children are doing or where they are going. I would hope that we have instilled the correct values to decide when something is right or wrong. I am worried about the lunatics out there that may cross paths with my family, and bring them harm.
