A bag of charcoal and the grill is fine to bring along. I prefer a good grilled hamburger over a hot dog, so grills are allowed on camping trips. The portable things that run off batteries should be kept at home, so you get a better experience with Mother Nature. And don’t forget the poly tarps that you can now get them in assorted colors and camouflage. If you don’t have a lot of talkers in your camping party, you may want to bring a radio for a little entertainment. Only a radio that everyone can listen to, this doesn’t mean the IPods, the Walkmans, or any portable televisions you may own.
